Mr. Yao Shi

Yao Shi is a Commercial Real Estate Banker with over 20 years of experience in underwriting, portfolio risk management, and talent development. Yao is the Minneapolis Commercial Real Estate Underwriting Hub Manager for U.S. Bank and leads a team of Credit Analysts and Portfolio Managers covering Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Kansas.

Yao’s underwriting experience includes multifamily, retail, industrial, office, lodging, self-storage, debt funds, real estate operating companies, real estate funds, and non-recourse lending. While at U.S. Bank, Yao has participated in the Minority Leadership Program and the McKinsey Asian Leadership Program. Yao holds undergrad degrees in Management Information Systems and Finance from Truman State University and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.

Yao is inspired daily by his wife and their twin boys. In his free time, Yao enjoys cooking, playing sports, keeping up with the news cycle, and supporting the San Francisco 49ers.
