Monday, 18 September 2023 – 09h00 – 12h30 (EDT)

We are pleased to invite you to an event entitled Africa’s Diaspora Mean Business, organised on the margins of the 78th session of the U.N. General Assembly (UNGA), and co-hosted by the OECD Development Centre, Prosper Africa, Minnesota Africans United (MAU), Global Policy House and the World’s Fair Fund. The in-person event will take place at the Martinique Hotel in New York City, on Monday, 18 September 2023 from 09.00 to 12.30 (EDT).

This high-level event will convene key figures from the African diasporic and business communities, public service leaders, migration experts, and representatives of the African diplomatic corps to discuss how to advance African diaspora-led two-way trade and investment. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on the diaspora’s positive impact in home countries and explore how trade and investment can mutually benefit communities on the African continent and in migrant hosting countries.

You will find the concept note and draft agenda HERE.

Please mark your agenda and we look forward to your participation.
