Overview:
Minnesota Africans United (MAU) is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Contract Manager to coordinate and manage programming related to health equity, mental health, real estate, and home ownership. This role will also involve close collaboration with our Business Development Manager and business programs. The ideal candidate will represent MAU at various events, organize conferences and workshops, and share valuable resources with the community.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience in program coordination, event planning, and community outreach.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with health equity, real estate, home ownership, and business development programs.
Proficiency in using social media platforms and updating websites.
Commitment to the mission and values of Minnesota Africans United.
Full-time Position
Key Responsibilities:
Programming Coordination:
Coordinate and manage programs focused on health equity, mental health and real estate, including home ownership.
Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to support business programs and initiatives.
Event Organization:
Organize 2 health equity conferences annually.
Organize 3 business development workshops annually.
Organize 2 affordable housing events annually.
Organize 2 community events annually.
This includes:
Event planning and coordination
Content development
Outreach and promotion
Participant engagement
Logistical management
Post-event activities (analyze feedback and data collected, prepare reports summarizing outcomes and attendee demographics)
Community Engagement:
Represent MAU at tabling events to promote our programs and services.
Share resources and information from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) with the community.
Collect and share community stories via social media and the MAU website.
Pass out PPE and testing kits to the community.
Host 24 testing events in collaboration with MDH vaccine providers annually.
Communication and Outreach:
Update the MAU website with current resources and event information.
Engage with the community through social media, promoting events and sharing relevant information.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with the CEO and other team members to ensure program success.
Provide calendar support to the CEO.
Track events, scheduling, notetaking, and other administrative support.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission and goals of MAU
Benefits:
Annual salary: $60,000
